N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph—Press Association. .BLENHEIM, Last Night. The New Zealand Championships were continued to-day, with -.o following results:— Men's Championship Singles. Second Round: _i eacock beat Parker, 2—o, 7—5, 6—3, 6—3. Fisher beat AVilson, 2—6, 7—5, 6—3, 6—3. Men's Doubles.— Second Round: Fisher and Peacock beat Smythe and Did*bury, Parker and Quill beat Brown and J. AVilson. Ladies' Doubles.— Misses Baird and Nunnelley beat Misses Butterworth and Ledger, Misses aravem and Well wood beat Misses Bathani and Simpson. Semi-finals: Misses Baird and Nunnolley were beaten by Misses Travers and AY ell wood. A most interesting game, and well contested. Combined Doubles.— Miss AY rellwood and Barker beat Miss Butterworth and Didsbury, miss Travers and Fisher beat Miss Batham and F. AVilson, Miss Simpson and Peacock beat Miss Ledger and Davey. Third round: Miss' Travers and Fisher beat Miss Simpson and Peacock. . Ladies' Singles.— Second round: Miss AVeilwood beat Miss Baird, Miss Travers beat Miss Nunnelley. The finals will be played to-morrow.
AVELLINGTON HANDICAP TOURNEY. By Telegraph—Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Last Night. The AVellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Handicap Tournament, was played yesterday and to-day, at Day'js Bay, the finals being as follows: Men's Singles.— Stevens defeated Frost. Ladle. ■' Singles. Miss Curtis beat Miss Atmore. Men's Doubles.— Lawrence and Sampson beat Jeffreys and Marshall. Ladies' Doubles.— Misses Cochrane and Curtis be-at Misses Bennett and Walters. Combined Doubles.— Miss Caverhill and Lewis beat Miss nam's and Laugliton.
