RAIN AT FEILDNG. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING. Last Night. A thunderous hailstorm was experienced in Feilding early this morning over the central portion of the town, with rain on the outskirts, intermittent showers falling later. The rain will do a. great deal of good. A severe thunderstorm also occurred at twelve noon, with very heavy ram. DAMAGE AT GISBORNE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) .'t r GISBOKNE, Last Night. A thunderstorm of brief duration was experienced last .evening. The chimney of the Girls' College at Kaiiti was struck by lightning and cracked from top to bottom. A large macrocarpa tree at Whatupoko was stripped of bark and 1 set alight. Thunder occurred again at midday to-day, with "a heavy hailstorm at Ormond, where hail lay fully an inch deep.
