AMATEUR ATHLETES.
' 'WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Council of the New Zealand Athletic Association held its annual meeting this evening. The President, Mr A. Marryat,.in moving the adoption of the. report, said the Council sliouM consider if it could arrange for a visit this year of a team of American or Old Country athletes, or else endeavour to bring Wheatley and Davis over during the year. The Council would have to consider the question of representation at the Olympic Games to be held at Stockholm in 1912, also matters in connection with the Australasian championship meeting to be held in New Zealand in 1911 or early in 1912. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr A. Marryat; VicePresidents, Messrs E: L. Chaffey and W. F. Larkin; Hon. Seeretarv, and Treasurer, Mr W. G. Talbot; Hon. Auditor, Mr C. D. Morpeth. The next NeAV Zealand championship meeting was allotted to the Canterbury Centre.
