I OTHER BILLS. i • i In Committee on the Census and Statistics Bill, a proposal by the Hon. Mr Anstey to give the Department discretionary powers as to the time at which the agricultural statistics are to be k taken was agreed to. The following Bills were put through their tinal stages:—Auctioneers Amendment, Scenery Preservation, Crown Suits Amendment, Census and Statistics, Foukawa Native Reserve. The Workers Dwellings Bill was imported from Committee, and the Council rose, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE?. DENTISTS AMENDMENT BILL. On the motion of the Hon, D. Buddo, the amendments made by the Legislative Council in the Dentists Amendment Bi.l were disagreed with. RATING AMENDMENT BILL. The House [went into Committee in the Rating Amendment Bill. A 'new sub-claune was added to Clause 5, on the motion of Mr Newman, as follows:—Notwithstanding anything in this sect'on, no land exempted under the preceding sub-section shall be exempted from special rates.
