CARTERTON.

At St. Mary's Church on Wednesday afternoon, Mr W. J. Sullivan, of Carterton, and late of Ballarat, Australia, was married to Miss Ivy Annie Abbott, daughter of Mr Jolui Abbott, of this town. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, and the young couple left by the afternoon train for Wellington, on route for Ballarat, their future home. At a meeting of the Executive of the Carterton Public Swimming Baths, the offer of the Masterton Swimming Club to organise at Masterton a swimming carnival, and donate the net't proceeds to the Carterton baths construction, was accepted with grateful thanks. This is an offer which will he greatly appreciated by all.
