A heavy thunderstorm passed over the district last Monday, accompanied with a downpour of rain. The settlers are jubilant with the prospects of abundance of grass. The creeks are, however, still dry. The friends of Mrs Mciiutchon, of Whakataki, will regret to hear that her health is far from satisfactory.
