SERIOUS RACE ACCIDENT.
FOUK IlOßdfiS COME DOWN. .SEVERAL JOCKEYS INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CBRISTCIIIICCIJ, Last Night. Ihe enjoyment of. the races to-day was marred ty an accident which occurred in the Otaio Plate. Mr T. H. Lowry's horse Cullinan, which was ridden by Luke Wilson, fell, and brought down in turn the "Lark, Alartiet, and Eollin. W. Young, the rider of Ihe Lsrk, escaped practically without injury, hut C. Jenkina, the rider of Martist, sustained a very severe flesh wound in the thigh. Luke Wilson had his leg broken, and F. D. Jones, the rider of Bollin, sus-.' tained a dislocation of the collarbone. Martist Was £o severely injured that he had to be destroyed, but the other horses escaped unhurt.
