Lawn tennis is one of those captivating sports which afford exercise wthout over-ex-ertion ,and pleasure without discomfort. Masterton has always been able to maintain a good position in the lawn tennis field, and the championship tournament, which is the. fifteenth that has been held under the management of the Club, will doubtless be as successful and enjoyable as its predecessors. The. arrangements for the tournament arc in the. hands of a. committee which may safely be trusted to carry them out on satisfactory and -p-to-dato lines.
