AMUSEMENTS.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

Another large* audience greeted pictures at the Foresters' IHall last evening, and judging by the manner in which the pictures were received, those present were well pleased with the excellent . programme provided. "Bradford's 'Jlaim'" is one of the most stirring mining-cowboy films the firm has shown, and it abounds with thrilling incidents, including a sensational leap on horseback from a steep cliff into a river below. 'lhe famous talking horse, Don Fulano, plays a leading part in this drama, and carries the heroine, through many exciting scenes. "In the Great North-West," "A Child of the Ghetto," and "Flossie's lliet't," go 10 make perhaps the best series of dramatic subjects Messrs 'lhompson and Payne have placed before a Masterton audience. "The Little Doctor of Foothills," and "Mugwump's Baby," were the favourites of a fine budget of comics! The remainder of the pictures were up to the firm's usual high standard. There will be a complete change of programme to-morrow night, which will include some particularly good dramatic studies.
