A SAD CASE.
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. - At the inquest to-day on the body of May Victoria Riggs,' aged 24, who died at the hospital on Sunday, the evidence showed that the girl had come to Christchurch lately, and had had a miscarriage. Blood-poison-ing supervened, and the girl was sent to the Hospital and died there. She was single when admitted to the hospital, but was married while in the institution. The girl attributed the trouble to a fall, but the doctor's evidence was contradictory. A verdict of death clue to septicaemia following a miscarriage was returned, and there was no evidence to showhow it was caused.
