NINE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT.
DUXEDIX, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day, George Bishop Sturdymnn, uho was £9O in arrears under a maintenance order for the support of his three children in an industrial »school, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment, with hard labour. Mr Widdowson, S.M., remarked that as defendant was so callous he would have to work out his indebtedness to the country for his family's support. Mr Gumming,, of the , Patients' and Prisoners' Society, said he never knew a man more, callous and cow'ardlv towards his children.
