PERTH SENSATION.
DISAPPEARANCE OF A GIRL. CLOTHING FOUND. Received October 19, 10.50 a.m. PERTH, October 19. There has been considerable mystery over the disappearance of Ethel Harris five months ago. She had lived with a man named Alfred Smart, who is now in gaol waiting his trial on a charge of bigamy. The girl disappeared just prior to Smart's marriage to another woman. The police, while digging in the yard, of the house where Smart lived, found articles of Harris s clothing, an iron bar with hair attached to it, and other articles. Smart says Harris left him a week before-his marriage. The caee is awakening tremendous interest.
