THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The attendance- at the Foresters' Hall last night was well up to the average, and the splendid programme presented was well received. The fine film "The Tyrant of Jerusalem" was much admired for its splendid colouring and convincing acting. "The Girl from Arizona" and "A Tale from the Backwoods," with their glimpses of cowboy life' and thrilling scenes depicting the various adventures of the principal characters, were loudly applauded. Among the comic subjects, "A Day in Mick the Monkey's Life" easily took pride of positions, and the peals of laughter showed mat the audience were enjoying the fund. j.his series will be produced for the last time tonight, supplemented by several films that have just been received. The usual matinee will take place to-day at 2 o'clock, and on' Monday an entirely new series will bo shown.
