THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

The second production of the current programme at Foresters' Hall last nicht was well attended. Great interest wi»s evinced in the various pictures. Thesensational film, "The Pay Car," met with a most enthusiastic reception. This picture shows how a brave engineer, who is doing his turn at special duty, is saved trom death by his hsroic wife, she being in the meantime captured by a gang of desperadoes. An exciting man-hunt takes place, and the gallant man and his hrrave wife are re-united. "The Call nf the Heart" is a strong lesson to those wh3 are not .charitably disposed, and thp clever acting of the gentleman in the leading role was warmly applauded. The monkey-like nerforraante of ''Japanese Firemen" caused wonder and amazement, their feats bordering on toe impossible. Tonight several extra fims are to be shown, including a pictorial representation of ,Emile Zola's work, "Nais Micoulin," and "The Obstinate Mule." The usual free matinee for children takes place at 2.30 today. The management wißh to notify children that no one will be admitted after 3 o'clock.

TOWN HALL PICTURES. To-night the Town Hall Picture proprietary will be showing a complete change ot programme, when some special films will be screened. The dramas are very choice, of which "The Woman who didn't," or "A Sweet Revenge," "The Poem of Life."and "Temptations of the Goldfileda" will please everybody. A beautiful scenic film giving views of "Aix Le Thermes," should prove very interesting. "The Bernese Milk Supply is a colored industrial ! film and should be instructive to all, I especially to those who have had cause to use patent miike. The comics are a strong feature of the (programme, and are very, good. "Wouldn't it Tire You," "Ted Wants to Marry Bis Cousin," "A I Sticky Proposition," and "An Uncontrollable Motor The children's matinee will be held at • 2.30 p.m., when dress circle seats I will be available for the children.
