j The Martinborougrh Hoclrey Club I propose holding a bail this season, [ Ihe annual meeting of the Tennis Club was held last ueek. A credit balance of £5 Is 9d was reported, and the surplus of assets over liabilities was stated at £67 Is 9d. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs W. J. Martin; vice-presidents, Messrs E. G. Harris, G. Pain and J. Kev. E. C. Tennent, and Mr A. 0. Considine; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. W. Cobb; auditor, Mr H. F. Heycock; committee, Messrs G. W. Cobb, S. R. Gawith, G. A. Clark, H. G. Lewis, W. Rowles, and Dr Webb; ladies' committee, Mesdames C. W. Lee, F. McLeod, G. W. Cobb, H. E. Webb, and Misses Evans and Mackay. The Town Board elections will be held on Septemb3r- 21st, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. At present there are 454 voters on the list.
