The balance-sheet of the Nireaha Dairy Factory shows .that the cheese made for the season amounted to 640,7301b5. This was manufactured by contract at a cost of £1563. With the exception of £2O worth in stock, the whole output was sold for £16,000. The milk received, 6,200,6021b5, contained 237,8661 ba of butter fat, the average being 3.83 per cent. Every 9.681bs of milk made one pound of cheese, and every pound of butter fat equalled 2.691bs of cheese. The sum of £11,395 was distributed amongst suppliers, and a dividend of 6 per cent, on paid-up capital was allotted.
