STUD HORSES.

The demand for light and medium draught horses has been so lteen of late that farmers are asking themselves the question whether it wiH not pay to devote greater attention to breeding. Unhappily, so far as the northern portion of the Wairarapa is concerned, there is not the selection of useful sires that there should be. This is a matter which should receive consideration at the hands of the A. and P. Association, as well as of settlers. It seems a pity that, at a time when there is a disposition to increase our draught stock, the neeessary sires should not be available.
