CONDEMNED STOCK.

Farmers in the Auckland district have devised a scheme for compensating those whose stock may be condemned at the abattoirs or elsewhere as diseased. A similar scheme is being suggested in Canterbury and the Manawatu. Possibly Wairarapa settlers might consider the advisableness of adopting measures of the kind. The local branch of the Farmers' Union, or the A. and P. Association, should endeavcw to procure details of the scheme.
