It !s satisfactory to ncte that the Native Minister, after a severe plodding by his colleague, was sufficiently aroused from his slumber to be able f to deliver a fighting speerh in the House of Representatives. If his friends will only keep him awake, and give him plenty of exercise, there may be hope that the Hon. James Carroll will do something to repair the ' injury inflicted upon the Dominion by the indefensible policy of "Taihoa!" It is feared, however, that the Native Minister will suffer a relapse before hia admirers have had time to congratulate him upon his awakening.
