WEATHER FORECASTS.
Tbe weather forecasts published from day to day from the Meteorologisal Office in Wellington are as useful to the man upon the land as to the master mariner. They have been so remarkable for their accuracy since the Kev. D. C. • Bates took control of the office,, that they are now looked for with interest and anticipation. Ic might not be out of place (o J suggest that instructions be given those in charge of the various outlying telephone bureaux, to whom the reports should be regularly supplied, that they furnish the forecast free of charge to any settler connected with the telephone system who might apply.. Such a facility for gaining information concerning approaching atmospheric disturbances would be much appreciated by these engaged in.general farming operation&M
