Own Correspondent. Monday. Mr Colman Phillips' health is at present causing bis friends some anxiety. The Belvedere school children have decided, on request, to repeat three of the items given at their recent concert, at the Clareville School concert this month. Mr T. J. Rathbone has purchased J the cheese crate manufacturing business of Mr W. J. Berrill, and purposes running it in conjunction with his own business. A social was tendered to Miss E. Butler by the Methodist choir and congregation on Friday evening on account of her approaching marriage. Miss Butler has been organist for some time, and always took a keen interest in the work of the church. A very pleasant evening was spent in hirmony, during which Miss Butler was presented with a very handsome marble clock, with engraved silver plate, and a silver and oak salad bow!. The Rev. C. H. Standage made the presentation, which was acknowledged by Mr Andrews on behalf of the recipient. Mr Butler, senr,. also thanked the friends for their kind gifts. Refreshments were provided by the ladies of the congregation, and were much appreciated.
