FIRE AT BOWRON BROS.

EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 19. An outbreak of fire ocourred on the top floor of Messrs Bowron 8r03.' building early this morning. The blaze was promptly suppressed, but the floor was extensively damaged by fire and the contents of the building suffered by water. The building wis insure ! for £4,000, anil the contents for £5,400 in the Royal Exchange office.

Four tenants in the offices in the building had insurances totalling £SOO, die chiet sufferer being K. Hughes, manufacturers' agent, who had a line of £2OO in the Royal on the stock.
