MAURICEVILLE NOTES.

(From a Correspondent.) Saturday. One of the most enjoyable dances of the year was held on Friday, July 15th, in the Mauriceville Haii in the form of a "Pinafore Dance." The Hall was prettily decorated with ferns and greenery and the ceilingwas tastefully festooned vviih miniature fiags. The comrrittce spared ro pains in making the affaii a great success. Among those presei.t were Miss Gardiner, in brown silk, over-skirt of hand-painted muslin, floril design, ihe bodice of the saxe material, with Oriental trimmings; Mrs Martin, in charming pink moussdine; Mrs Brooks, in green; Mrs Anderson, handsome black silk with jet trimmings; Mr 3 Bagky, empire gown of pale blue charrntsuse, black velvet ribbon, and cream lace; Mi s McKeown, becoming pale blua crystalline; Miss i Stutter, white ninon; Miss K. Stutter, Pink mou3seline da suir; Mrs W. Martir;, ■ dove grey, embroidered boclicp; Mi3s Brooks, Simple frock, green t-kirt. pretty silk blouse; Mrs Braggins, white embroidered muslin; Miss Goodgaroe, black; Miss Jessen, pink ninon; Mrs Farmer, pale grey skirt, becoming white glace blouse and lace; Miss Hillas looked well ii> black and white; Mrs Stutters, very handsome gown of black silk and old lace. The music was supplied by Mr Wrigley nn the pianu, Mrs Brooks playirg the extras.
