WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jane 28. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forcast are:—Bain has fallen everywhere, and has been very heavy i i parte. Northerly wind/, to gale, have prevailed to the northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and southerly winds elsewhere. The barometer has fallen in the north and risen in the south. Present indications are for heavy rain in most parts of the country, especially over the North Island, and on the East Uoast of the South Island. High westerly winds are probable northward of East Cape and Kawhia, and southerly elsewhere. A cyclonic movement, now>ia,the.north, will probably be followed by. further unsettled westerly weather in the south for about a week.
Mr J. 0. Boidington reports that the rainfall registereed at the Upper Plain for the 24 housrs preceding 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 59 points.
