AMUSEMENTS.

TOWN HALL PICTURES. The audience which witnessed the firm I production of the "Before the Mast" programme in the Town Hal! last evening was more than satisfied with the educational and instructive feast provided. To-night tnere will be an entire change of programme, when something out of the ordinary will be produced. A picture of momentous interest, showing his lata Majesty King Edward VII. paying his last visit to Berlin, will be produced for a first time. Out of respect to the memory of our lately deceased Sovereign, this picture wiil be shown in silence, and will be introduced by the playing of a few bars from the National Anthem, A drama of an educational and military character, entitled "Under the Stars and Stripes." will give a vivid reproduction of warfare. Two other splendid dramatic subjects, "Love Ye One Another," and "The Tattooed Arm," will also be produced. A faithful presentation <jf the "Grand National Steeplechase of 1910" run only a month or two back in Liver* pooi. in which twenty out of twentyfive starters came to grief, will appeal at once to the sporting instinct The Belgian Cyclist Caribituers will be a most imposing military scene, mid a view of a sugar plantation in Sunda will "afford some idea of the dimensions of this great industry. The comic films will include "The Town Traveller's Revenge," "An Old JViaid'a Valentine," "rlease Take One," and "The Misadventures of a Chauffeur." Altogether a refined, educational, instructive, and otherwise brilliant programme is promised for to-night. Much interest is being displayed by the youth of the town in the essay competition, for which pr zes are to bo given away every Saturday.
