COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Ltd,, report; having conducted a very successful clearing sale on account of Mr T. P. Girrfwood, at the Homestead, Mangahao, on Thursday, 2nd infat. There was a very' large attendance of settlers from all over the district, the result being that a very satisfactory sale resulted. The sheep and cattle yarded came forward in firstclass condition, and among the horses offered were some particularly well bred hacks and harness horses, and some good draught horses, the latter being well bid for. They quote as follows:'—Ewes in lamb, backward condition, 3s 2d: ewes in lamb, 8s sd; woolly hoggets, F Bs 6d; empty eweß, 7s 9d; springing heifers, to .454 !8s 6d; 2yr heifers, £3 16s; heifer in milk, £4 13s; 2yr filly, £l4 ss; draught mare and'foal, £l9 ss; draught mares, £l2 to £35; hacks and harness horses, £5, £6 ss, £1 15s to £l2. All implements and sundries realised satisfactory prices.
