RECHABITES' CONVENTION.
The third Wellington Sub-district Convention of the Independent Order of Rechabites was held in Maflterton yesterday afternoon. Bro. Treadwell was elected chairman, and Bro. Morgan re-elected secretary. It was stated that Bro, Phillipson, High Chief Ruler, and Bro. Church • ill, P.H.C.K., would visit India and Australia, and afterwards New Zenland, in the early part of next year. Bro. Fathers stated that this would be the mo9fc memorab'e event in the history of Rechabitism in the Dominion, and mentioned that the District Officers had decided to finance the tour throughout the Dominion. Each tent should do its utmost to make the visitors at home. The action of the District Officers was endorsed. Congratulations were passed to the Petone Tent on having opened a Tent at the Hutt. A recommendation to the next District Conference that in future all honorary members" fees be 2s 6d per annum, was carried. Reports from delegates showed that good progress was being made in several Tents in the district. A vote of thanks was passed to the Masterton Brothers for the kind manner in which the delegates had been entertained.
