WEDDING AT PONGAROA.
At Pongaroa, on Wednesday last, a wedding was celebrated at "Woodlands," the residence of Mr W. A. Burling, when Mr Colin McKenzie, son of Mr R. McKenzie, of "Feintosb," Fernridge. Masterton, wa3 married to Miss Mary lva Burling, third daughter of Mr W. A. Burling. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in tucked cream silk, trimmed with silk over lace, finished with silk gimp and French knots. The front of the blouse; looked pretty with its pearl drop (lirnaments. She also wore the usual Veil and orange blossoms, and carried a handsome shower buoquet. Miss Grace Burling was bridesmaid, and Mr George McKenzie best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev, J. McCaw, of Lowre Hutt. Over a hundred guests were'present at the wedding breakfast, and Mr and Mrs McKenzie were the recipients of many handsome and UEeful wedding presents, a mark of the high esteem in which the young couple are held in the district. In the evening. a social in honour of the occasion was heid in the Pongaroa Hall, and the gathering was successful and enjoyable in every way.
