TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
WOOL CLASSES.
The monthly meeting of the Managers of the Mastreton Technical School was held last veering, when there were present,—Messrs E. feist W. H. Jackson, E. H. Waddington and Dean McKenna. Miss M. Johnston tendered her resignation asjnstructress of the dressmaking classes at the school, owing 10 her removal to Auckland. The treasurer's statement was as follows:—Balance at last meeting £253 16s lid; fees, £22 15s; donations, £2 7s; expenditure, £l9 lt)s 9d; balance at date, £258 19s 2d. Mr R. Barrer, 'of Te Wharau, waited upon the Managers t in reference to starting wool classes at Te Wharau. Mr Barrer drew attention to the need of woolclasses in the district, and handed in 16 names of likely pupils. The Eecretary stated that Mr Nevins of Tenui, had between 20 and 30 prospective pupils for a class there, and that Mr Maunseil would lend his woolshed fcr the purpose. It was the opinion of the meeting that providing Mr Wcorl has the time, ail assistance be given to the formation of classes at both places. Accounts amounting to £2l 10s 2d were passed for payment.
