EXPERIMENTAL FARM EXHIBITS AT THE RATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
Department of Agriculture will be making a great disphy of agricultural products at th2 National Dairy Show reflecting the experimental work farm from Ruakura, Momohaki, and the Weraroa stations of the North Island. In the display the products will be arranged m sections —cereals, wheat, barley, rye, maize, etc., in ear and threshed. Roots of ; all kinds grown under various con- i ditions of culture; pasture grasses from experimental patches illustrating the use of artificial manures by the growth of grasses andl;dderof all kinds Apples also in great variety will be shown. To all the exhibits of farm produce useful informatijn will be attached for the benefit of the farmer. The Department cannot be pra : sed too highly for the trouble they a-e takine to make their i display of special value to the visitor looking for information on how to do thines. The Veterinary Department, under Mr C. J. Eeake3, will also have a stannd dealing with the matters exclusively for the stock owner. In making tie experimental farm exhibit at the National Dairy Show it will specially benefit the Wellington, Hawke's Bay and Taranaki farming | commuuities, and the central pes'tion of Pa'rr.erston North gives everyone an opportunity of attending the Show tj view what will be a really valuable display worthy of a visit from every man who has to earn a living from the product's of the soil. Many other new features will be in evidence, notably milking cows by machinery, with an auditorium to hols three hundred spectators. Admission to this will be extra. T.he daily admission to the Show is only one shilling, and visitors can ob ain a valuable concession in season tickets for five shilling?. Iho National Dairy Show buildings are within four minutes wnlk from the centre of Palmcrston North, and adjacent to the railway station.
