PAYMENT OF MEMBERS.

The Chief Justice of the Transvaal, at the instance of three members c£ the Legislative Council, has grantei a rule nisi, returnable on Friday, restraining the Colonial Treasurer from paying members of the Assembly £3OO, on the ground that the pavments are illegal for such a short Evasion. -V
