ANOTHER FATAL ACCIDENT. GERMAN BALLOON POMMERN WRECKED. THREE OCCUPANTS KILLED. CAR FALLS 1,500 FEET. Thousands of spectators at Stettin watched the ascent of the balloon Pommern with fuur passengers, including Dr Delbruack, the Reichstag Deputy for Stettin. As the balloon cleared the ground it was driven against the telegraph wires, and a factory chimney and the nettit.g was badly torn. The terrified onlookers watched the Pommern rise to a height of 2,800 feet, and then vanish seawards, the car hanging by a few strands at a sickening angle. The Pommern was next sighted eighty miles away at a height of 1,500 feet. The balloon then fell at a terrible speed into the Baltic Sea. Three of the occupants, including Dr. Delbruack, were killed, and the survivor was badly injured. He gave a thrilling narrative of the three hours' voyage, the balloonists expecting constant death throughout.
