BETTING ON PRICES.
BUCKET SHOPS. SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE. Received April 4, 9.40 a.m. NEW "YORK, April 3. The Federal authorities raided 250 bucket-shops in various cities of the United States, and arrested thirty principals, including five reputed millionaires. The Federal action is baaed on a law prohibiting bucket-shops in Columbia, where 250 had their head offices. (A bucKet shop is an office or place where facilities are given for betting small sum on current prices of stock, petroleum, etc.)
