HUIA HOCKEY CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Huia Hockey Club was held in St. Matthew's Schoolroom on Tuesday last. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring Secretary, Miss G. Dalrymple. and votes of thanks were passed to Mr Macara for the use of his ground during last season, and to donors of trophies. Officers for the enstiing year were elected as follows:—President, Mrs Watson: Vice-President, Mrs Hosking, Messrs Macara, Carley. Raine and Pragnell; Club Captain. Miss O. Richarda; Vice Captain, Miss D. La Roche; Secretary and Treasurer, Miss B. J. Johnson. It was decided to commence play on Thursday, April 7th. Seven new members were elected, and the balance sheet showed a credit of £5. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss Finnis for the use of the Arcadia Tea Rooms.
