The official enquiry into the origin ! of the fire at the District High Schoo Buildings was held in the infant school this afternoon. Several witnesses were called, but could throw no light on the matter. On summing up the evidence, the Coroner, Mr K. J. uothard. gave the finding of the Court—"That, the Pahiatua District High School was burned on Saturday evening, but there bwas no evidence to show how the fire originated." At a meeting of the Kaoing Club, held in the Commercial Hotel, last night, six acres of the Club's property was leased to the Pahiatua Ag ricultural Association at a yearly rental of 30 s per acre. The annual meeting of the Bush Rubgy Union has been postponed from Saturday, 26th, to Saturday, April 2nd.
