The annual meeting of the Carterton Football Club was held last evening, Mr C. Keid, President, in the chair. The report and balance sheet, showing a credit of £ll 8s lid, was adopted. Seven new members were elected. Officers appointed were " :atron, Mr W. 0. Buchanan. M.P. ; President. Mr C. Reid; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs W.- M. Halley, W. Strang, R. Cooper, T. H. Hughes, P. Cole, W. Redmond R. Wadham. J. Fraser; Captain, Mr C. Groube; Vice-captain, Mr N. McKenzie; secretary and treasurer, Mr J M. NichollB; management ommittee, Captain, Messrs C. Reid and H. McKenzie; Match Committee, Captain, secretary, vice-captain; Delegates to W.R.U.. Messrs C. Reid, H. McKenzie, an-1 C Groube; Auditors, Messrs H. Hall and L. H. Smart. The subscription was fixed at 4s seniors 3s juniors; 2s third class. A vote of thanks wa-J accorded to Mr W. M Halley for his donation of two gold medals for the best back and best forward of the senior team for the ensuing season- A similar compliment was accorded Mr J. Blake for a donation of 103 6ri. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, April 2nd. On Saturday eight rinks from the Wellington Bowling Centre will play a similar number of rinks on the local green, from the Wairarapa Clubs.
