MR ROOSEVELT AT KHARTOUM

IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS OF BRITISH RULE. Received March 17, 9 a.m. LONDON, March 16. The ex President of the United States, Mr Roosevelt, who has been on a hunting tour in Africa, and his wife and daughter, are staying at the Khartoum Palace. They inspected the battlefields near the city. Mr Roosevelt addressed the students at the Gordon College. He was impressed, he said, with the wonder ful results of British rule, particularly the palatijl houses and gardens in Khartoum.
