(Own Correspondent.) | Saturday. T>e numerous friends of Mrs A. j S. Judd will be pleased to hear that she has sufficiently recovered from her recent illniss as to be able to leave Dr Smyth's private hospital. The local corps of the Salvation Army are to hold their harvest festival to-morrow week. Mrs P. Cole, who recently suffered a seve-e illness, and had to enter a private hospital at Palmerston North, haß so far recovered as to be able to leave the institution to-morrow and will spend a few weeks holiday with Mrs <J. Shaw, prior to returning to Carterton. The harvest festival sate of fruit, vegetables, etc., in connection with the Oocal Methodist Church is to be held on Monday evening, in the schoolroom. Mr <5. A. Fairbrother will be the auctioneer.
Mr G. W. Pittendreigh, who has been Home Missionary in the Methodist Circuit for some tinae past, has been appointed to Mangamni, and leaves the second week in April. His successor is a Mr Crawford.
