LOCAL BODIES' LOANS.
£750,000 WANTED, AND AVAILABLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 1. The Prime Minister stated to an interviewer that the applications already received from local bodies for State-euaranteed loans under the Act passed last session represented a total of about £750,000. The necessary money to cover this sum was available, and provided that the securities were satisfactory, the applications would be granted in due course.
