AMERICAN BANKS.
A CAMPAIGN of education. TO FIGHT A POSTAL SCHEME. Received February 2, 8.40 a.m. LONDON, February 1. The New York correspondent of the /'Daily Telegraph" states that the American Bankers' Association has allocated £200,000 for a so-called campaign of education to defeat the proposed establishment of Postal Savings Banks. 'Mr Meyer, formerly PostmasterGeneral of the United States, believes that millions of dollars are sent to Europe whichj might be retained il immigrants were convinced that the banks were sate.
