PATHETIC SUICIDE.
Telegraph—Press Association. ROTOR UA, January 26. R. L. Beggs, who attempted suicide at the grave of his wife in Rotorua Cemetery on Christmas morning, died this afternoon, at three o'clock, after lingering for thirty-one days. After wounding himself he was removed to the accident ward at the Sanatorium, were he remained until his death. , No one was permitted to see him, and he was looked after day and night. Up to Monday there were hopes of saving his life, but that night he showed serious symptoms, and this morning was in a comatose state, .and remained so until ne died. There is a feeling among some of his acquaintances that they should have been permitted to see him while he was conscious.
