THE NEW COMET.
SEEN IN ENGLAND.
Received January 21. 8.25 a.m. / LONDON, January 20. Mr Hanks, of the Cambridge Observatory, observed the comet reported from Johannesburg. The nucleus of the comet is about equal to the planet Mercury, and the tail extends over two degrees. The comet is visible to the nak ed eye. •
