LAWN TENNIS.
WAIRARAPA CHAMPIONSHIP AND HANDICAP TOURNAMENT.
The fifteenth annual Wairarapa Championship and Handicap Meeting will commence on the Masterton Club's courts this morning. All arrangements are now completed, and provided fine weather prevails another successful tournament is assured. In spite of the heavy rain experienced during the past few days the courts are in excellent order, and when quite dry will no doubt play perfectly. A large number of en tries nave been received from throughout the province, and several of the Dominion's leading players will be seen on the courts to-day and Monday. In order to facilitate progress it has been found necessary tc com - mence play at 8.30 a.m. each day, and the following players are requested to be on the ground at that hour this morning. Men's Championship Singles, S, R. Gawith v. N. D. Bunting. F. H. Eicoate v. G. Mawley. C. C. Cox v. P. W. Jackson. G. G. Aitken v. J. L. Ulundell. Men's Handicap Singles. ■ H. M. Gordon v. N. W. Groves, i P. N. Keeling v. G. W. Sellar. W. G. Groves v. H. H. Donald.
