THE EVENING PROGRAMME.
The committee arranging for the evening entertainment met after the general Club meeting. Mr B. Clayaon was in the chair. Mr Daniel reported that the arrangements for illuminating the Lake were completed, and the prospects were that the Lake would look even more attractive than on previous occasions. It was ' decided to illuminate the tea-marquee now being erected, and, if possible, to arrange for the band to play in proximity to the locality. As it wns anticipated by the meeting that there would be an exceptionally large attendance at both the day and evening entertainments it was resolved to make the most thorough arrangements fir coping with the crowds at the gates and on the Lake shores. The fireworks were reported to have been consigned, and should arrive at Masterton to-day. The captain (Mr Daniel) reportd that he had secured the services of an expert to manipulate them.
