MASTERTON LADIES' SWIMMING CLUB.

A well attended meeting of the Executive Committee of the Masterton Ladies' Swimming Club was held in tljie Dominion Hall yesterday afternoon. Mrs J. W. Blackman (President) being in the chair. Correspondence was received from the Town Clerk, intimating that the "Bosking Memorial Bath" would be officially opened on Monday next, the 24th inst., at 10 a.m., and extending a cordial invitation to the members of the Club to attend the opening ceremony. It was decided that as many members as possible should be present at the opening. It was unanimously decided to hold the annual carnival on Thursday, 17th February, and nine valuable trophies were voluntarily offered by ladiea present. Much enthusiasm was shown, and there is every indication that the forthcoming carnival will be even more successful .than the two preceding ones have been. Many interesting and amusing novelties were suggested, and it was decided to ask Mr Alf. Snowball, hon. instructor of the Royal Lif9 Saving Society, to give an exhibition fo life saving at the carnival. It was decided to hold the next meeting on Wednesday, 2nd February. The Programme Committee expect to have the programme completed in a few days, when intending competitors can receive full particulars from ihe^secretary.
