FATAL ACCIDENT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, January 6. An elderly married woman, whose name is not yet ascertained, stepped off an electric tram which left the Square at 10.10 p.m. for Papanui when passing Innes Road at a fairly high rate of speed. When picked up the woman was just conscious. She was removed to the nearest doctor, where it was ascertained that her skull was fractured at the base. She expired almost immediately.
