STATE MINE TROUBLE.
SATISFACTORILY SETTLED,
By Telegraph—Press Association. GREYMOUTH, January 5. The State mine trouble has been satisfactorily settled between the Minister for Mines and the delegates of the Miners' Federation. The new agreement provides for the miners working, in bords, to truck the coal to the nearest siding, the distance not to exceed 22 yards. Miners working on the incline to run the coal to the face jig, the distance no to exceed 22 yards. Truckers to assist the miners to and from the working face in pillars. In any place where the miner is unable to truck he will get assistance from the trucker. Under the old argeemeat the miners had to truck 50 yards, or to the first jig distance, equal to two pillar lengths.
