Hill batted four hours, and gave a t brilliant display, hitiing nineteen fours and one six. Victoria in their second innings, have lost,no wickets for 25., By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN. January 3. The cricket match Otago versus Southland was concluded to-day. The home team put up the record score of 593 in the first innings, *and winning by an innings and 448 runs. The principal scorers for Otago were Siedeberg 162, Macartney 118, Hiddlestone 86, Callaway 55, Rutherford 50, Wilson 43. In their second Innings Southland made 74, Richards 21, Doig 16, and Bannerman 12 being top scorers. NEW PLYMOUTH, January 3. The representative cricket match, Wanganui v. North Taranaki, was concluded to-day, resulting in a substantial win for Taranaki by 155 runs. The scores^were:—laranaki, first innings, 96; second innings 314 (Perham 141, Greatbatch 62). WanI ganui's scores were 154 and 101.
