WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph—Pre3s Association. WELLING'LON. December 29. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast is as follows:—Rain has fallen in the southern district, and westerly gales have been experienced about Cook and Poveaux Straits. The barometer baa been very unsteady, and has fallen low in the South to-lay. The present indications are for stormy weather, especially southward of Kawhia and Castlepiint, strong westerlies prevailing i,orthwards and high northerlies in the south, with a falling barometer everywhere. Unsettled, hazy and cloudy probable generally, and rain southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint.
