CONDEMNATION IN CHRIST CHURCH.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRiSTCHURCH, November 13. The Trades and Labour Council has issued a manifesto strongly protesting against the Government's land proposals. A. meeting of Christchurch So jth and Christchurch East electors unanimously, carried a resolution : "That this meeting believes the freehold tenure to be the most pernicious form of land tenure, and most emphatically protests against the pro posals to grant the freehold of their sections to Crown tenants, and against the sale of any more Crown lands nf the Dominion." The meeting subsequently formed a branch of the New Zealand Labour Party.
